In order to cost-effectively reach as many consumers with the Christmas campaign as possible, an online game, the Colcom Ham Hunt, was conceived and developed in order to not only promote the Colcom Xmas Hams products, but to also allow participants to win a Christmas Ham for their family, where all they had to do was pick 3 hams in a row from under 9 cloches and presto, they were entered into the draw. The game was instantly well received, with over 330,000 plays over a 5 week period, contributing to over 40,000 total entries and 5 lucky winners. More importantly, the Colcom Xmas Ham was once again on the forefront of the Zimbabwean consumers mind pushing competitors into the background, and generating even more market share for Colcom Xmas Hams, the veritable taste of Christmas.
