Already set apart from competitors through striking packaging and a unique product in itself, the advertising for Sesame Chips had to inspire curiosity and encourage uptake. POS assets and print advertising therefore positively brimmed with flavour and individuality, altering perceptions through the product’s bold personality and flavour promise. Again simplicity was the soul of the text, with an added fun and quirky quality provided by the bespoke typography. The Golden Egg promotion coinciding with the Easter launch to the South African audience built both awareness and interest, and also added a premium feel with the use of gold. Not only was the Sesame Chip advertised as a yummy chip, but as a top quality snack with a golden promise of a new flavour experience.
